TERENCE BLANCHARD - SOUNDTRACKS

En este caso no pondre Versiones de ningun tipo, este post es solo un homenaje a un compositor que lleva unos cuantos años creando unas bandas sonoras que rallan lo genial (desde mi punto de vista). Terence Blanchard es un reconocido trompetista de Jazz pero que colabora con las bandas sonoras de muchas de las peliculas del fantastico y comprometido Spike Lee, como también hace de vez en cuando el genial Bradford Marsalis.
Hace un par de años tuve la suerte de ver un concierto en que Blanchard tocaba algunos de los temas de las peliculas de Spike Lee, con el propio Lee en el escenario....fue en el festival de Jazz de Vitoria Gasteiz y fue simplemente fántastico, a destacar el momento en que se interpreto el tema central del documental acerca de la catastrofe del Katrina que Spike Lee realizo a peticion de Blanchard que fue golpeado directamente por el desastre.

Espero que tengamos bandas sonoras de Blanchard para mucho tiempo.

In this case I would put versions of any kind, this post is just a tribute to a composer who takes a few years creating soundtracks really great (from my point of view). Terence Blanchard is a renowned jazz trumpet player, but cooperates with the soundtracks of many movies from the fantastic and committed Spike Lee, also occasionally makes the great Bradford Marsalis.

A couple of years ago I was lucky to see a concert in which Blanchard was playing some of the themes of the films of Spike Lee, with Lee himself on stage .... was in the Jazz Festival of Vitoria Gasteiz and it was just fantastic, highlight the moment when he play the central theme of the documentary about the Katrina catastrophe that Spike Lee made at the request of Blanchard was beaten directly by the disaster.


I hope we Blanchard soundtracks for a long time.
